Working on Lidar Data

We have started off the new year working on lidar data. We took scans of a cone to use in the routine to do localization from cone detection. We found what the cone profile looks like at various distances and will use this to detect landmarks.

We were pleased that the Lidar works well outdoors (at least on a cloudy Seattle day). The Lidar specs are such that it is not expected to work outdoors.
